Sometimes a get a little cross from discussing the value
that transitioning to Agile might
bring (typically with senior managers), especially when I don’t perceive a quid pro quo. As I wrote
recently, there is no free lunch, something’s
gotta give. Managing teams of people is (hard) work, and expecting something
for free is just unreasonable. I always propose making some trade-offs, come up
with suggestions of different things we might try, but when that seems to fall
on deaf ears, it frustrates me.
And that was when it struck me:
As a New Year’s resolution, wouldn’t it be great to work in
an Agile Manor, instead?
